(At Chris' hotel room, he's messing with his wedding band.  He's sitting on the bed just moving it
between his fingers.  The lights are out and he's alone.  Thinking about what he has to do.  A
ringing breaking him from his metal training.  Chris picks up the phone.)

Chris: Hello?. . .  This is Chris. . . .   Mihoshi?. . . Ryoko wants to meet me at the diner for
breakfast tomorrow?. . . on a date?. . . sure tell her I'll be there. *hangs up* Going on a date with
her again.  Well I guess Tenchi will have to wait then.  I don't want to attack him when Ryoko is
around.

(Chris sits back on the bed thinking again.  He's once again lost in deep thought.  The next day
Chris drives over to the diner.  He's wearing nice dress up clothes but nothing to formal.   Inside
the dinner, Ryoko is already waiting at the table for them.  She also is dressed up.  She is even
wearing a little make-up.   She gets up to greet Chris but is stunned once he kisses her deeply on
the lips.  Once they break she looks at him confused and surprised.)

Ryoko: Someone had a good night's sleep.

Chris: More of a self-conscious awaking.  I know how I feel for you now and I don't mind
showing it to the world.

Ryoko: That should make for this a more interesting date then.   

(They take their seats at the table.  A waitress brings them menus.  As Ryoko is looking at her
menu deciding on what to eat, Chris takes this opportunity to look at her hand.  Sure enough, she
is wearing her engagement ring Chris gave her.  He puts down his menu.)

Chris: Kind of weird having the women make the date.  Not use to that.  But I guess if you are
the famous space pirate, you can do that.

Ryoko: And don't you forget that.  I'm able to break many of the rules.  

Chris: So just what do you have planned for us today?  If I might ask?

Ryoko: Well I thought that we might just go sightseeing.  Just a day on the town.

(Chris starts to think back.  A grin comes across his face.)

Chris: Why don't we go get some ice cream to eat?

Ryoko: Ice cream?  We haven't even had breakfast yet!

Chris: Come on, since when have you been one to pass up ice cream.  My treat.

(The grin passes over to Ryoko as she starts to think about it.  She gets up and grabs Chris' hand. 
They walk out of the diner and head for the ice cream parlor.   Once there they head straight for
the counter to make their order.  Chris cuts off Ryoko.)

Chris: Here let me order.

Ryoko: Huh?  Well ok, just get me. . . 

Chris: Let me guess.  It'll be more fun like that.

Worker: What will you have?

Chris: Give me a cone of rocky road and. . . *looks at Ryoko*. . . a cone of cookies ‘n' cream.

(The worker gets the ice cream and hands them to Chris.  He hands Ryoko the cookies ‘n' cream
cone and walks outside, Ryoko behind him.  She catches up to him as they walk.)

Ryoko: How did you know what I would want?

Chris: Call it a lucky guess.  Where to next?

Ryoko: Since you surprised me with ice cream, it's my turn to surprise you.  How does karaoke
sound to you?

Chris: That's good, but I can't sing all that well.

Ryoko: That's ok.  But we need to leave now if we are going to get there in time.  It's a good
distance away.

Chris: Can't be that far?  Not like it's in China or anything.

Ryoko: Are you kidding?  I wouldn't bring you to China on a first date.  It's in Kokamo.

Chris: Kokamo?  As in the island Kokamo?  Wait is that even a real island?

Ryoko: You'll soon find out.

Chris: But how are we going to get there?

Ryoko: You'll see.

(Ryoko grabs Chris and pulls him close to her.  His chest is pushed hard against hers.  He can feel
her taking each breath.  Even though he's been with her for a long time and been through much
with her, the feeling still makes him shiver all over.  His vision is soon distorted.  Ryoko and Chris
soon reappear on a small island.  The time difference with the time it took to get there, the sun is
just starting to set.  They are standing on a beach.  Ryoko kicks off her shoes and lets go of Chris. 
The sound of her voice calling to him brings him back to reality.)

Ryoko: Come on if we hurry we can still make it.

Chris: Can't we just stay right here for a few minutes.  I've never taken the time of the day to
watch the sun set before.

Ryoko: Well. . . I guess a few minutes won't kill us.  I guess we can.

(Chris and Ryoko sit down in the sand and look out to the sunset.  Chris puts his hand on her's
and holds her hand.  Ryoko looks over to Chris to see him looking at her.)

Ryoko: I thought you wanted to watch the sunset.

Chris: I'm watching it through the reflection in my eyes.

Ryoko: Well aren't you just Mr. Romantic?  Come on let's go.  They say this place really comes
alive at night.

Chris: I thought you said we was going to do karaoke?

Ryoko: Hey, a girl is able to change her mind isn't she?  Come on let's go.

(Ryoko takes Chris' hand and hurries off with him.  They send the night together viewing all the
sights together enjoying the lights, the music, and each other's company.  When it's all over and
the lights are going out, Ryoko and Chris teleport back home to Tokyo.  They are standing back
at the diner where Chris' car is parked.)

Chris: Today was great.  I can't ever remember having this much fun before.  

Ryoko: The day isn't over yet.  You still have to bring me home.

Chris: And here I was hoping to take you home with me.

Ryoko: You bad thing, trying to take advantage of a poor trusting girl aren't you?

(Chris gives Ryoko a playful kiss on the cheek and jumps over the hood of the car to the driver's
side.  They get in and drive to Ryoko's apartment.  They stand outside the door to the apartment,
just standing there.)

Chris: Well I guess it had to come to an end sometime.

Ryoko: Tonight was great.  Want to do it again some other time?

Chris: You bet, but I have something I need to do tomorrow so it will have to be later. 

(Chris leans in to kiss Ryoko but finds only her fingers stopping his lips.)

Ryoko: You'll get that once we go on our next date ok.  I figure that if you're going to make me
wait for our next date then you can wait for the next kiss.

Chris: You little temptress.  Well then I guess until we meet again.

(Ryoko enters her apartment living Chris alone in the hallway.  His thoughts quickly shift from
Ryoko to Tenchi as he remembers what he has to do.  Chris exits down the hall to find Tenchi and
get this over with as soon as he can. Inside the apartment, Ryoko hops down in a chair. 
Happiness shines over her face.  Mihoshi enters in from a side door that leads to the bathroom. 
She sees Ryoko and soon the two are talking about everything that happened.)
