(It's unusually cold on this day.  The people hurry from place to place trying to stay out of the
rain adding to the problem.  It's spring but looks like fall. In Chris' hotel room, he and Washu are
talking, going over things once more before they set their plan into attack.)

Chris: Ok let's go over this one more time so we get this right.  This is my ass on the line after all.

Washu: You lore Tenchi into the alley beside his house where I will have a portal open that will
send you two to a clearing I have set for your fight.  Then you will attack Tenchi making him
believe his life will be in danger without hurting him too much.  Once he creates the Lighthawk
Wings I'll create another portal for you to exit through and I'll show up and talk with Tenchi. 
Then we can find a way back to our real universe.  Easy.

Chris: Yeah easy for you.  You're not the one who has to go up against those damn Lighthawk
Wings.  What if he doesn't summon them?

Washu: We'll solve that problem when we get to it.

Chris: Ok but make sure Ryoko doesn't find out about this.  I don't want Ryoko to know I'm
fighting Tenchi.  She might do something drastic.

Washu: The portal will be open to only us three.  Don't worry.  What's the worse that can
happen?

(Chris' only response is his head dropping onto the table.  Clearly he didn't like this.  Washu pats
the back of his head and gets up from her chair.)

Washu: Come on Chris.  It's now or never.

(Chris gets out of the chair and follows Washu.  They take Chris' car and drive toward Tenchi's
home.  A few blocks away from the house Chris drops off Washu so she can start opening the
portal with her laptop.  Chris stops his car a block away from where Washu is and gets out to
walk the rest of the way to Tenchi's.  Along the way to the house he starts to think to himself.)

Chris: *What am I doing?  I'm about to start a fight with Tenchi so he can create the Lighthawk
Wings?  What's to stop Tenchi from using them on me?  I can't believe I'm actual scared to fight
Tenchi.  I've never been scared to fight anyone before.  But now. . . I guess I am human after all. 
Well the high of adrenalin will get me through this fight.*

(Chris arrives at Tenchi's front steps.  He takes a deep breath and walks up to the door.  He
knocks on the door and waits.  When the door opens Chris jumps nervously.  Ayeka is standing
there.)

Ayeka: Oh it's you.  What business do you have here?  

Chris: I just wanted to talk to Tenchi.  That's all.

Ayeka: Might I ask about what?

Chris: Just tell him I need to talk to him.

Ayeka: I'm not sure I can trust you.  You did help Ryoko escape from the law and attacked a
police officer.  What should make me believe you won't try to hurt Tenchi?

Chris: No wonder Ryoko doesn't like you that much.  Look just go get Tenchi.

Ayeka: He's busy and can not be bothered right now.  Maybe if you came back at another time. . . 

Tenchi: Ayeka who's at the door?

Chris: Tenchi it's me Chris!  I want to talk to you for a second.

(Tenchi walks over to the front door and manages to get past Ayeka and outside to talk to Chris. 
Before Tenchi can open his mouth to say something, Chris slams the door on Ayeka.)

Chris: Didn't want her to listen in.  Look mind if we walk while we talked?  It helps me so times.  

Tenchi: Sure, but I don't understand why you came to talk to me.  Might I ask about what?

Chris: It's Ryoko.  I want to know how you feel for her before I do anything.

Tenchi: Oh I see.

(They turn and go through the alley by his house where Washu opened the portal.  As they walk
through the other side of the alley they find themselves in an opening instead of the other side of
the street like normal.  Tenchi stops.)

Tenchi: What the heck?  Where are we?  We went through that alley and I thought we was. . . but
we can't be because it doesn't led to an opening like this.

(Tenchi looks behind him to see the alley where they came in from is gone.  Only the openness of
the landscape remains.  He turns back to face Chris.  Chris' expression on his face is one of
emotionless.)

Tenchi: What's going on?  Chris, where are we?  Where is the alley?

Chris: Tenchi this is your final resting place.  It's always a shame for me to have to end the life of
someone so young but business is business after all.

Tenchi: What?  What do you mean?  Chris enough with the joke already.

Chris: Don't you get it you moron?  This is no joke.  Your going to die!  That's it!  The final
curtain.  Taking your last breath.

Tenchi: But why?  Is this about Ryoko?  Look I we are just friends.  I know she loves you so you
don't have to do this.

Chris: What?  You think I'm killing you because I think you might win Ryoko from me?  That
won't happen.  I'm simply killing you because I'm here to make sure Ayeka doesn't take throne
of Juria.  If you know what I mean.

Tenchi: Ayeka?  So someone paid you to make sure Ayeka does take the throne of Juria?  I can't
let you hurt her!

Chris: I knew you won't.  That's why all this is happening.  The only way to save her is to defeat
me.  Kill me and she lives.  I kill you and she dies.  Her fate along with that of anyone that gets in
my way will be ended.

Tenchi: No!  Enough already.  I won't let you!  I won't let you hurt them.  If Ryoko knew about
this she would be shamed of you.

Chris: Who's going to tell her?  You dead corpse?  I don't think so.  Now come on, let's get this
over with.

Tenchi: I don't wish to fight you Chris.  

(Chris' only response to this is a hooked right punch that lands it's mark on Tenchi's face.  Tenchi
stumbles back a little but doesn't fall down.  Both Tenchi and Chris stand up right and go nose to
nose.)

Chris: Looks like you are a little tougher then I gave you credit for.

Tenchi: Maybe you did or maybe you just wasn't trying hard enough.

Chris: Is that so?  Maybe you should take a shot.  Show me how it's done.  I dare you.

(Chris points to his face.  Tenchi balls up his fist but stops himself before his swings.  Chris takes
this chance and knees Tenchi in the mid-section.  He steps back to let Tenchi fall on his knees.)

Chris: When are you going to realize that this is for real Tenchi.  I'm not playing with you here.  I
mean to kill you.

Tenchi: Then why haven't you yet.  I've seen your power.  You could have killed me by now.

Chris: You only saw what I wanted you to see.  You really think I would show you my true
power so soon?

Tenchi: Then show me this true power of yours.

Chris: Ask and you shall receive.

(Chris steps back and starts to power up.  He soon goes Super-Saiyan.  The intense energy slams
into Tenchi causing him to fall back and roll a distance away.  Tenchi gets to his feet and shakes it
off.  Chris walks up to him and draws his claws.  He points him in Tenchi's face.)

Chris: You wanted to see my real power.  Well here it is.

Tenchi: Then how come I'm not scared?

(Tenchi's comment hits Chris where it hurts.  His ego.  Chris comes back and levels Tenchi with a
forearm shot to side of his head.  He kicks Tenchi in the side as he tries to get up.)

Chris: Fight back damn you!

(Tenchi rolls away and gets to his feet again.  He wipes the blood from his mouth.  A smile
crosses his face.)

Tenchi: Why should I fight back?  Everyone's time comes sooner or later.  Even your time will
come when you will face the music.  Are you disappointed that I'm not the challenge that you
wished for.

(Chris thinks about it for a second and starts to laugh.  This action causes a questioned look on
Tenchi's face.)

Chris: I can't believe it.  When I first met you, you was scared of battle.  Nervous wreck that
didn't think he could do it.  Couldn't face the challenges that greeted him.  Now here you are in
the face of death and you play it cool.  No longer the scared little boy.  What happened to you
Tenchi Masaki?  

Tenchi: Call me crazy but there is this voice that says you don't want to do this.  That you won't. 
And I believe it.

Chris: You can only believe what you see and not what you hear.

(Chris charges Tenchi and goes to insert his claws into Tenchi's face but with a quick side step,
Tenchi moves out of the way.  He follows with a spinning back kick to Chris that sends the Saiyan
off balance.  Both smile now.  Chris powers up an energy beam.  Tenchi can see the energy being
built up.  He can feel it in the air.  Chris fires the beam at Tenchi.  The impact creates an explosion
that sends waves out.  Chris walks toward the smoke and recalls his claws.  He stops mid-step as
the smoke clears revealing that Tenchi blocked it with easy using Tenchi-ken.)

Chris: Well are we ready to get serious now or what?

Tenchi: I guess I can spar today.

Chris: Yeah just think of it as sparring.  Only when this match is over, you won't be coming back
for round two.

Tenchi: I'll be sure to remember that.

(Chris tries for a straight punch but Tenchi blocks and follows with a spinning elbow.  Chris is
able to jump back in time and try for a spinning kick to the head that catches nothing but air. 
They start to exchange punches into each other, blocking all thrown at them while throwing
punches at the other.  Tenchi blocks a punch with his elbow and spins around behind Chris and
nails him with an elbow to the side of the head.  Chris jumps back and readies himself.  Tenchi just
stands there though.  Chris just walks right up to him.  They stand nose to nose.)

Tenchi: Gotcha there didn't I?  

Chris: So you did.  But it doesn't matter much.  I have been studying your fighting style just as
you have been studying mine.  But lets see if you can guess what I'm going to do now.

(Chris smiles to Tenchi and deliver a quick headbutt to the bridge of Tenchi's nose.  His head
snaps back and Chris takes the chance and nails a strong punch to the gut.  He grabs Tenchi by
the throat and throws him away.  Chris focuses his energy into a sword much similar to Ryoko's. 
Chris takes a few swings with it to get the feel for it.  Tenchi slowly gets to his feet and readies
Tenchi-ken.  The blue blade emits for the tilt of the sword.)

Chris: Ready to play with the toy?  I must commend you though.  You have out lasted my
expectations.  But it is a shame.  Maybe from Heaven you can watch me deliver Divine Fate to
both Sasami and Ayeka.

(Enraged by his statement, Tenchi gets to his feet and charges at Chris with Tenchi-ken blazing. 
Chris blocks and parries the attacks.  Tenchi dodges high and slashes low trying to knock Chris
off his feet.  Chris jumps into the air and swings the blade at Tenchi's head.  Tenchi blocks with
his sword and the two lock up blades.  Chris charges up and energy ball and uses it to blast
Tenchi-ken out of Tenchi's hand.  Chris follows up with a spinning heel kick that knocks Tenchi
away.  Chris walks over to where Tenchi-ken lays and looks back over to Tenchi.)

Chris: Well Tenchi it looks like our little game is over.  I'm sorry you couldn't save Ayeka and
Sasami.  Maybe in your next life you won't be such a loser.

(Chris points his hand at Tenchi and charges up a blast.  He stares down at his unarmed opponent
and without so much as an emotion on his face, he fires the blast.  At the last second Tenchi
throws up his hands and the energy is deflected off a shield.  The three forms appear on Tenchi's
forehead.  He stands up now.  He extends his arms out.  The three Lighthawk Wings that the form
of armor, a shield on his left wrist, and the Lighthawk sword.  By now the rage of the Super-
Saiyan has overcome Chris' common sense.  Taken by this new power greater then his, Chris
powers up again to his absolute.  He charges Tenchi again but with the added power of the
Lighthawk Wings, Chris is unable to even touch Tenchi.  Each punch, every kick, is blocked by
Tenchi.  Tenchi nails Chris in the face with a hard right that sends Chris rolling on the ground. 
Tenchi slashes at Chris but he rolls away.  The impact of the sword hitting the ground causes an
explosion that sends Chris flying.)

Chris: This can't be!  You can't be this much stronger.  But you are!  Damn you boy!  Well block
this.

(Chris focuses his energy into a single beam.  He flies high into the air and positions himself. 
Tenchi just looks up not sure what to expect.  Then the golden ora around Chris grows stronger
and brighter as he concentrates all of his energy into the beam.  This one quick push, the beam
shoots from Chris toward it's victim, Tenchi.  Tenchi changes his Lighthawk Sword into pure
energy and uses it to block the beam from Chris.  Tenchi uses the pure energy on the Lighthawk
Wing to match the beam sent from Chris.  Tenchi's beam on light energy is sent at Chris.  The air
cracks and shatters at the impact of the two beams in mid-air struggling for power over the other. 
Tenchi maintains the other two wings to keep his shield and armor.  Chris on the other hand is
using everything he has.  His beam starts to gain inch by inch toward Tenchi.  Slowly becoming
more power then his.  Tenchi is forced to convert the shield into pure energy too.  He fires that
beam of pure energy into the other.  The force of the energy in the air pushing upon each other
soon becomes unstable.  With a giant explosion, everything goes white.  Memories flood through
Chris' head.)

Chris: *The first time he saw Ryoko,. . . when she held him in her arms after being hit by a car,. . .
their first kiss,. . . the first time they made love,. . . when he proposed to her,. . . even the recent
memories of seeing her with his title around her waist, . . . them kissing passionately, . . . their
date together.* 

(All his memories flash through his head in that split second.  Then after it all passed, the only
thought was that he failed Ryoko, the one women he truly loved with all his heart.  Chris slowly
closes his eyes as the white light consumes him.)
